Growing Greatness
I joined the Eastside Farmers’ Market family in August 2020, improving our digital media presence and finding new avenues to highlight our farm-fresh products.
As the Assistant Market Manager, I take photographs of our fresh and unique items which I then edit for clarity and post on our Facebook and Instagram. From there I track our metrics to ensure the quality and frequency of posts is at a high-level. The gallery below has some examples of the images I post on our social media platforms, but I highly encourage everyone to check out the posts to get a holistic sense of our market.
More recently, I have upgraded my video production equipment allowing for heightened content on our social media channels. The two videos at the bottom of the page are just the beginning of what is possible and I am incredibly excited to bring fun and informative content to our followers.
I am also responsible for enforcing market rules with guests and vendors while at the market proper. This was an incredibly large task during the COVID-19 pandemic, but has still been vital to the success of the market in the face of improving conditions.
I conduct SNAP/EBT transactions for market guests which involves knowledge of the technology we use as well as the programs we participate in. I also assist in bookkeeping when collecting SNAP/EBT “market dollar” and “Double Dollars” funds from vendors to ensure they receive proper compensation.
Farm Fresh
Our vendors pride themselves on the premium quality of their goods.
I have had the privilege of photographing the various goods our vendors bring to the market throughout the season. I then work in Adobe Photoshop to correct any minor issues and ensure proper lighting. From there I write copy to join the photographs on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Caprese salad is a personal favorite and a great start to new content for the market to draw in guests. The ingredients for this simple and delicious dish can be found at the market and is perfect for almost any occasion. It is also great as anyone can pick up these ingredients and make something amazing regardless of their skill level in the kitchen.
